Chris Whalen

Christopher D. Whalen is currently a Managing Partner of Great Mill Rock LLC dba Mill Rock Capital. Chris’s experience in private equity spans nearly two decades, multiple industries and substantially all facets of investing, including origination, execution and portfolio management. Prior to co-founding Mill Rock, Chris was a Managing Director at Harvest Partners, where he worked from 1999, focusing on middle market private equity investments. Previously, he worked at Lehman Brothers in its Global Mergers and Acquisitions Group, focusing on transactions in North and Latin America. His primary experience is in the industrial sector, including distribution, manufacturing, industrial and technical services, construction, building products and energy. Currently, Chris serves on the board of directors of Grammer Industries, Cisco Industrial Services, Venture Metals International, Trojan Lithograph and Mill Rock Packaging Partners. He graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in Economics and Government.

Mr. Whalen’s travels around the world have exposed him to the lingering effects of both humanity and inhumanity. He has a particular interest in the evolving synergy between the business and financial communities and AIPG’s mission:
